This morning I went on a walk to The Little Red Gallery to meet with owner, Hazel Venn, and discuss my project as she wanted to know as much as possible. I showed some of my previous work to explain the music aspect to my project and she said she really loves it and is excited for the whole project.

When I had originally emailed the gallery, I was expecting at the end of the project to just hand a CD over and have the gallery play it and that be it.. turns out I was wrong. Hazel wants to do a showcase night for me in December and basically get people in to have a wander round and listen to my work. I’m still in shock after hearing this. It doesn’t feel like i’m doing a university project.. like its developed into something bigger than I thought it ever would be. Still really excited though. I can’t wait to get out and start recording.
Lastly, I took some pictures of the gallery today so I can keep it in mind when working on the project. It’s a quirky little building with crooked corridors and misshapen rooms, think Alice In Wonderland.
